SUPER SATURDAY

This time tomorrow the little white ball will be flying, the frosty cold beverages will be flowing, and the big fists of victory will be pumping high in the air.

After months of planning the T.O.T.W. First Annual Golf Tournament is just hours away.

Rumor has it that NBC is pulling it's coverage of The Players and will be bringing live coverage from Heritage Shores. So look your best and remember to tip your cap.

Troop 5 has been given standing orders to TASER any unruly spectators, slow foursomes ahead of us, and the beer cart chick if she doesn't keep up with our needs. Oh yea... and anyone with annoying pagers and/or cell phones.

Weather looks promising other than the likely wind conditions. Hope you all have your stinger shots perfected. Small chance of scattered t-storms in the morning.

With a vast array of of golfing abilities there will certainly be many thrills and chills throughout the day. Remember... Golf is 90% mental and 10% mental.

Hope to see everyone at the Fritz's tonight for the pre-tourney festivities. Parings will be announced by Captain DA Booth and myself. If unable to attend the pairings will be posted later this evening.

In closing I would like to thank everyone who is participating in this event. This Blog has been a fantastic outlet for "us guys" to express our views, debate our opinions, and vent our concerns. Tomorrow presents a great opportunity for us all to get together and have some fun.

Special thanks to Commissioner Fritz for all his hard work and for opening up his home for the post tournament activities.

Good luck to all tomorrow!

  1. Thanks The Buck, after months of scheduling finding a place to play and the first ever T.O.T.W draft we are now just a little over 24 hours away from one team holding that wonderful Trophy and just as important having those bragging rights.

I would like to thank Troop 5 for their security they will be providing, i just hope the Chief77 will be able to finish the round because he will be Tased atleast 5 times uner these rules.

I didnt hear the rumor about NBC coming but i did get a confermation that Bobby Vermillion would be there.

I am not very good at math but that looks like alot of this game is mental, so it may be a long day for alot of us.

I too hope to see you all at the Commish's house tonite if not see you tomorrow morning and ready to wack that little white ball around.

Fritz thanks for hosting this event and for creating this wonderful blog.

To my fellow captain The Buck and his team FIGJAM, i wish you well and hope your team does just good enough to still lose to Team Teeter Totter.

I would also like to throw out the idea of having a tie breaker to the commish and The Buck. This isnt the stupid Presidents Cup or Tee Ball or soccer, we dont tie.

  2. Good Point! If there is a tie between the 2 teams THERE WILL BE a tie-breaker. I, The Commish, will meet in a private, secret location this evening to determine the tie-breaker. Only if needed will the tiebreaker be announced.

Yes, pairings will be posted this evening if unable to attend 2nite.

Tomorrow will present a challenge. The wind will be blowing, mentally you'll be tight, playing under pressure is totally different than for fun. The hardware is up for grabs. Who's got the kahunas?

I appreciate the "thanks" from the captains and look forward to a great weekend.

Let's continue to grow the blog even bigger.

  3. Definitely looking forward to the golf tomorrow. Great work Fritz putting it together. Hopefully the wind will lay down a little more than they are predicting, but if not we will work with what we got. Won't be there tonight for the pairings, but look forward to checking them tonight and playing in the morning.

  4. Hi all!

I'm looking forward to loosing all my balls tomorrow and possibly getting the first ever flat tire on a golf cart on national TV.

Please excuse me from the festivities of tonight. I am under some pressure to get my honey doos done, but I will be sure to partake in the sweet nectar of hops bright and early in the morning.

I have been practicing on Wii so I'm sure to break 110. I will also be carrying a new umbrella on my bag that will take care of the 90% mental game.

    Ciao for now.
