You Want Me??? You Got Me!!!
Sorry for the recent absence! It's good to know my contributions are appreciated and you all yearn for my commentary. Contrary to Fritz's belief, I have been DAMN BUSY!!! I've spent the last month in search of the elusive Tiger Woods. I am proud to say that I found him at the Coral Bay Cafe and Bar with Heidi Vanderhook!!! Who would of thought???
Anyway.... Here is what I'm BUCKING ON.....................
- Everyone try this when they go into work on Monday. Bring several loaded handguns to work and show them off to your coworkers. Make some threatening gestures and then play it off as if you were joking. Don't be scared it will work out in your favor. 1) You will be arrested and at most get a year in prison but probably just probation due to Delaware's liberal laws. 2) You will be suspended from your job, NOT FIRED, and not get paid for the year. 3) After the year suspension is over you will be allowed to work again at the same job, same position, and same pay. 4) However, if your employer, who can't fire you, wants to get rid of you they will have to buy you out for millions of dollars.
- I can't recall ever watching a NFL Pro Bowl game from start to finish regardless of when it was played. Maybe the league should make it more incentive based so making the Pro Bowl is a true honor and play the game for some purpose like MLB does. Like every player on the winning Pro Bowl team is not allowed to be Franchise Tagged. Give them a reason to play and play hard!!!
- There should be a law stating a individual cannot benefit from "a scandal" if they were a willing participant during the scandal. I just got done watching a show on John Edwards. His right hand man during his Senate years and Presidency campaign has written a book and is doing media shows. He is telling all and dishing out all the inside dirt on Edwards. This guy stood by for years knowing all Edwards was doing and even helped him do it. He said nothing, did nothing, and now he is standing on his soap box preaching about how bad John Edwards was. Obviously it wasn't that bad when he was using Edwards to further his own agenda an career???
Til next time,
Who Dat???

The Worst All Star Game In Sports
By far the worst all-star game in professional sports has to be the NFL Pro Bowl! Yes, you die hard football fanatics, I said it!
I never liked it, even when they did play it in Hawaii. Here's why:
Don't confuse me with Jack Nicholson. I hate the NBA with a passion. I think the last time i watched a regular season game Dr. J was still playing. But their All-Star weekend is better.
The NHL skills challenge is interesting to watch.
I suggest they try the following:
1. Have an all star challenge. QBs could see who throws the farthest, see who can throw it through the tire from the farthest distance, etc... Punters could compete on downing the ball inside the 10....... and for Dr. Pepper's Million Dollar Challenge you get a guy out of the stands, put him in the shotgun, snap him the ball and let Dwight Freeney and Demarcus Ware rush from the end and see who sacks him first. The guy gets the million if he can run and stay on his feet for more than 15 seconds. Now that would be great TV
well, at least this year we don't have to watch the coaches wear their dumbass looking fake Hawaiian shirts and lays.
I never liked it, even when they did play it in Hawaii. Here's why:
- The game doesn't lend itself to an all star game. There's too much of a risk for injury in football. Unlike baseball, basketball, or hockey, football is just way too physical and you can only play "down" so much. Some pros will tell you that the risk of injury is actually greater when you play 1/2 speed.
- Leads to my 2nd point. The players do play "down". None of them care who wins the game. Blitzing is not allowed and the offensive and defensive linemen look like they're just dancing with one another. You may say there's no "D" played in the NBA and NHL games, but at least the offensive stars try to put on a show.
- The uniforms suck! I love that baseball wears the regular team unnies. Would be impossible for 22 guys on the field at one time with uniforms from 15 different teams. Would be kinda like when nobody wanted to be "skins" so everybody was "shirt" and blended, you got confused with so many people on the court and threw the basketball to a guy on the other team.
- Players don't show. This year is ridiculous with the number of "All Pros" electing not to show up. It's damn embarrassing for the league. I can see Goodell putting in a clause stating that every player, barring injury, must show if selected. Ron Jaworski was telling a story of back in the 70's when nobody from the NFC wanted to show to play QB. Finally, the 3rd string QB from the Eagles was selected and actually started the game for the NFC that year! How stupid is that! On the other hand, Allen "the answer" Iverson was selected to start the NBA game even though he's only played a small part of the season and has sucked when he has played. But he can't wait to go. His viewpoint is if the fans select him he wants to go.
- The play calling is so "vanilla". At least do something different like some reverses, flea-flickers, etc... There ought to be a no punting rule in the Pro Bowl. Must go for it on 4th down all the time unless you're on the other teams 43. Everything from there would be a 60 yd or less field goal try. Then you must attempt a field goal on 4th down.
- I haven't watched this game in so long I'm not sure if they still do this, but they used to have the leading team kickoff everytime, even if the other team just scored. I suggest you must attempt an onside kick every kickoff.

Roger
I love watching his stupid plans fall apart. The probowl is stupid to begin with and now he is trying to move it to go along with the Super Bowl. If i were the Colts and Saints i would not send one player a day early just to do interviews. I like what the new commish is doing as far as discipline. However his marketing and ideas to improve the league suck. I hate the idea of adding weeks to the season, i dont mind cutting pre season games but 16 games are enough. Basically what i am saying in all this rambling is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA to your stupid probowl the week before the superbowl. I hope it goes horrible.

Sad News
I was trolling around the School of Roch tonight and happened to see a comment that Anita Marks has left MASN and will no longer be on the radio. Now I know this hurts you all, yeah you Fritz, but its ok, the show must go on. I have not found out where she is heading, but as Fritz has showed, he knows how to find her on the internet. Wink Wink, nudge nudge.
ORIOLES
I couldn't help but notice some conversation regarding the Baltimore Orioles. Yes, I know it's January and the Super Bowl has yet to be played. Matter of fact we have a wasted weekend this week with no football. (No, the Pro Bowl does not count) Already we can look forward to the upcoming baseball season. As an Orioles fan I am excited about some of the off season additions.
Here's the lineup as of now:
C Matt Wieters
1st Garrett Atkins
2nd Brian Roberts
SS Cesar Izturis
3rd Miguel Tejada
LF Nolan Reimold
CF Adam Jones
RF Nick Markakis
DH Luke Scott/Ty Wiggington
Pitching Rotation:
1. Kevin Millwood
2. Brian Matusz
3. Jeremy Guthrie
4. Brad Bergesen
5. Chris Tillman
Ok, looks like a good hitting line-up, but I see multiple problems:
Would you take a record of 82-82?

Pitching Rotation:

3. Jeremy Guthrie
4. Brad Bergesen
5. Chris Tillman
Ok, looks like a good hitting line-up, but I see multiple problems:
- There's no TRUE leadoff hitter here so guess what? Default goes to Brian Roberts again. Yes, I know Roberts has a good OBP, hits for average and has good speed, but you know what? I think he's wasted here. With his power capabilities and ability to handle the bat I would rather see him hit 2nd, 5th or 6th.
- With Roberts batting 1st, then that starts the problem with #2. Adam Jones still swings at too many bad pitches. Plus, Jones has the ability to hit 20plus homers. I even think 25 homers. If he hits 2 you need someone who can bunt, hit and run, hit the other way. This takes the power numbers out of Jones' hands
- What to do with Markakis? I think you put him at 3 and forget about it. Problem again comes back to not having a leadoff guy and Roberts unavailable for 2. Markakis is wasted when he bats 2nd. At some point I would like to see Nick develop more power. Did he hit 20 last year?
- Can Reimold prove last year was no fluke and handle 4th? I hope so.
- Tejada bats 5th
- The rest besides Izturis are all #6 hitters. Wieters, Scott, Atkins should all hit 6 but can't. With Weiters' potential how can you justify htting him 7 or 8? Scott has power (as long as he's hitting off righties) 7th for him then 8th for Atkins.
- Finally, is Atkins and Aubrey the right fit for 1st base? I really would like to have seen the O's pick up a quality 1st baseman. If they had a big hitting 1B I would think this lineup could be as good as any in baseball.
- DH. Ready to live with Luke Scott and Wiggington for a whole year at DH? God, what a wasted spot in the order! Scott can only hit off righties. Wiggington lacks consistency. Plus, he's too fat!
- Has anybody signed Carlos Delgado or Jim Thome? With their age I think we could sign either one to a nice short 1 year deal. O's would have low risk and the possibilities of a big hitting DH. I think then, you need to trade Scott for more pitching prospects.
Would you take a record of 82-82?
Five Major Trades
1. Donovan McNabb to the Bills for a 1st rounder and Don Beebe's old coned helmet.
2. Jake Long to the Falcons for a 1st and 3rd round pick.(nobody should have to play for the dolphins).
3. Roy Oswalt to the Redskins for 15 million in Cash. ( i know it doesnt make sense but i still think Snyder would go for it).
4. Michael Vick to the Raiders for a cool Track suit.
5. Adrian Gonzalez to the Orioles for Airieta, Snyder, Pie and 2 players to be named later. (wait that makes sense no way the old Peter would pull that off).
I just wanted to see how it felt to be a writer for the ESPN insider.

Same Old Story
You know I got to thinking, maybe Brett Favre can come back next year for another team, lead them to the Championship game, and then through another pick to end his team's season. But its ok, he is the old "gunslinger", and thats just what he does, loses when it matter the most...

Boring!
Is it just me or has the NFL playoff this weekend been boring to you as well? Talk about anti-climatic!!
The #1 seed the Saints roll over the Cardinals. Not much to mention in way of highlights.
The AFC 5 seed Ravens lost 20-3 to the Colts in a yawner. Somebody tell the Ravens that offense is a critical part of football.
The most anticipated game of the week, Cowboys at Vikes turned out to be a great chance to get some cleaning done around the house.
Now I'm in the middle of the Chargers v Jets. San Diego's up 7-0 and the NFL once again has just changed the rules on the fly. Chargers wide out caught a pass, gets hit by Jim Leonhard, fumbles and is recoverd by the Jets. Of course, call was reversed and the play was ruled a no catch. Of course the receiver only caught the ball, took a step with each foot before being hit, then lost control of the ball. I ve seen the same thing ruled a catch over and over again. Now penalty called on Jets on a punt return. Seems like the NFL has sent down a mandate for the Chargers to move on. Jets will have to beat the refs too in order to move on.
Now Phil Simms says the NFL explained the receiver didn't touch the ground "LONG ENOUGH" with his feet in order to be a catch!!!! What the F???? I've seen guys reach the ball over the goal line and have it immediately knocked out of their hands by a D player, only to have the refs call it a touchdown. Guess there's no time limit on that. Course, too, a catch on the sidelines only requires at least a drag of toes on each foot. Maybe now they'll also have to have their toes on the ground for a required period of time in order to have a catch?????? Maybe too it'll depend on how the NFL feels that day
YAWN............I'd rather watch TBS' rerun of "The Legend of Bagger Vance"

Kiss the day goodbye!
Here I sit. The day before my B-Day. Another year gone by. Another year wiser. Nothing like worldly experience! We all need time to reflect on our past and set goals and direction for the year ahead. We've all lost people in our lives. If you haven't learned by now, rest assured, you better make the most of it because time does not stand still nor do you know how much time you have......
Looking back and ahead, here's my goals during this, my 44th year on this earth:
Play more golf! I said it last year and life took over with busy schedules, etc... This year I WILL play more! If you want to join me, come'on!!!!!! Let's make it a party.
Sit watching the summer sun go down sipping a cold one, while smokin a stogie and shooting the sh t with my hommies.
Travel more. I used to go to Myrtle Beach 5-6 times a year. Maybe not as much, but at least 2-3 times this year! Looking for some company......wanna join me?????
Work out more. Yes, I know....your asking why would someone with my body need to work out more???? Hey, man...it's about long term health! I'm not into looks. Keep the heart strong!!!
Friday nite cocktail parties at Le Fritz Deck. Started this once before, but this summer I'm in it for good. You're all invited! Grill will be on. Music will be on. Bring some cool different brews. I'll supply the grub.
Party starts @6pm
Continue to snub my nose at Rogaine! I don't care! Matter of fact, I wish it would hurry the hell up and fall out! Looking forward to the $ saved on shampoo and hair cuts!!!!!!!
Shoot 72. And I don't mean on just 14 holes! (well, maybe...)
Have more sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, some parts are 44. Others are still youthful.
CONTINUE TO BE THE VERY BEST DADDY I CAN BE CUZ THAT"S WHAT REALLY MATTERS!!!!
On to 45!
...take it back,, na na na na, take it back....

SHOCK THE SPORTS WORLD!!!!!!
OOOOMAGODDDDD!!!!!!
Did you hear the news!!!! Mark McGwire took steroids!!!!!!!!!
The sports world was rocked to it's knees Monday, January 11, 2010 when Mark McGwire came out and announced that he had misled the ticket buying public and had taken steroids for over a 10 year period!
It was also as shocking to hear the confirmation that in the year 1998 when McGwire hit 70 homers he was on illegal 'roids then. THANK GOD SAMMY SOSA WASN'T ON THEM THAT YEAR AS WELL or we would be led to believe that it would not be humanly possible to hit over 70 homers in a 162 game schedule against major league pitching!!!!!!!!!!!! All little leaguers, and beer keg softball league over-the-hill players were falsely made to believe that if you ate your veggies, worked out, and could somehow "quicken" your bat, you too could become a home run hitting god. Singles??? Doubles???? Take a walk???? who wants to do that when you can swing for the fences and have a "legitimate" shot at immortality.
I'm sure McGwire was the exception, not the norm.......lol..... I mean 99% of all pro athletes are clean from artifical enhancements. (yea, right) Don't get me wrong.....I'm not condemning those who need "artificial enhancement" in the bedroom................
I guess it's the money, the 15 minutes of fame our society craves, the need for people to be seen (just check your own facebook page). Whatever the reason, some of the most talented athletes of our day will never know what they could really do. We will never know if 70 HRs is REALLY possible. We watch the games for enjoyment, but in the back of our minds we suspect that there really is a reason behind closed doors for faster 40 yd times,......... 70 HRs,...... 350lb linemen who can run like the fullbacks and tight ends of yesteryear,........ swimmers who can train for 8 hours a day and still have enough energy at night to smoke a bowl of mary jane,.......golfers who can look like body builders, hit it 300, and still bag a ton of "HOs" from Denny's, porn movies, and reality shows,...............................
Thankfully, you yet haven't found the need to take steroids in your profession. Then again, maybe if you did you would sell more mortgages than anyone else in america without having to sleep and even "fund" your own loans,.....................be able to teach a classroom of not 30 kids, but save the taxpayers $ and teach a classroom of 100 kids and still goof off on your planning time.............process more loans than the computer could keep up with and eventually have to get an assistant processor to the processor in order to keep up with your processing..........................be able to help the State of DE out with expenses by not having to hire so many police because you're able to patrol the whole county on your own, write 10 tickets at a time while stopping cars coming from different directions, all while working your new 7 day 24 hour on then 1 day off shift............................
Maybe I could have more energy too to write this stupid blog and get my work done so I can eat as well........................................
read the label and never let the guy in next locker inject you!

Very lengthy synopsis on the Eagles Fritz!!!!! I thought you were a Miami Dolphins fan??? A ot of what you wrote I can agree with. I watched that game in utter disgust and actually tuned the tv off at halftime.
It seems like every year the Eagles lack a certain intangible that helps boost them toward that Superbowl win.
Over the past several years I thought it was that they did not have that explosive, big time threat that can score long TDs. But they certainly found that with Jackson and now it looks like they are missing something elsewhere??
Running the ball is important and it certainly sets up the passing game. In today's pass happy NFL a good team only needs a good running game, not a great one. A running game that can boast a 4 or 5 yd run at will so the passing game can open up. We certainly saw that this weekend with Baltimore and New York.
After watching the Cowboys and Eagles the last two weeks the 2 games almost looked the same.
The Boys' players and coaches certainly shined over the Eagles' players and staff.
Philly's defense was destroyed and the blitzs were countered with efficient, big play strikes from Romo. It looked like Philly's DC was out of sync with all of his calls. It seemed like every call he made would of worked on the play before or the play after.
OCs and DCs play a 60 minute chess match during a game. Sometimes you get on fire and pick the right defensive/offensive play that crushes the other team's respective calls. In those two games Dallas certainly had the better strategic choices.
I hate to say it but Dallas deserves much props for the way the played and the way they were coached.
I believe all games boil down to 4 equal parts. 25% Eagles players, 25% Eagles coaches, 25% Dallas players, and 25% Dallas coaches. Dallas definitely won the battle.
But with all this being said I cannot feel bad at all for the Eagles nor can I rain on their dismal parade. I am a Chiefs fan and I have not had the chance to enjoy a playoff game in some 10 years.
One thing Coach Reid and McNabb have done is given the Eagles' fans a chance at a Superbowl win. A team has to at least make the playoffs in order to go to the Superbowl. That's one step more than my beloved Chiefs have taken.
Sure, a Superbowl is nice but the Eagles have placed a very competitive, championship caliber team on the field over the last decade. Maybe one day soon they will get over the hurdle??
Til next time,
Shit on Joe Buck!!!!!

TIME FOR A CHANGE
If you are an EAGLES fan (sorry DA BOOTH) today is both a sad and upsetting day.
After 2 straight weeks of getting SMOKED by the rival DALLAS COWBOYS, the Eagles are out of the playoffs and Philly's Super Bowl hopes go on hold for another year...............Not only is it now comical all of the talk this past week of how much of a "genius" Andy Reid was for not "showing" the Cowboys anything last week, but it's time to take a real look at this team.
Consider this.......the Eagles lost to the Oakland Raiders earlier this year. (The Raiders only won for games this year.) the Eagles were 0-5 this year against teams who made the playoffs. That's right, all 11 of their wins came against nonplayoff teams! Here's a list of things which either need to be changed or corrected before next year if you expect to go further:
Back to the Eagles...
stay strong and stay fit
Here's a list of things which either need to be changed or corrected before next year if you expect to go further:
sorry, just got a little distracted!!!!!
- Andy Reid - yes, he's won a ton of regular season games over the past years and got the team to 1 'Bowl, but is that all you want? If so, fine, no change required. But if you want to go further something needs to be done. Now I'm not necessarily advocating a coaching change, but at least the coach needs to update/change some of his philosophies. There are times when Reid gets too "pass happy" with the play calling. There hasn't been enough emphasis on developing a true running game in Philly. Westbrook is a nice player, but not someone who's gonna carry the ball 250 to 300 times a year. I do believe rookie McCoy could be a good NFL back, but you got to stay with the run more and give him the ball!
- DONOVAN MCNABB - I like McNabb. Always have.....but Reid doesn't do enough to hide his weaknesses. This goes back to the prior point about running the ball......McNabb can be extremely inconsistent and if you want to win in January you can't afford this.... McNabb has always had a problem with consistent accuracy and if you're gonna throw it 35 times a game it's gonna show! It may be time to look at Kevin Kolb. Do you remember earlier this year when Kolb started a game and threw for over 350 yards......I can think of at least 10 teams Kolb could start for right now...... If Reid is still committed to McNabb, then you need to cut back pass attempts to around 22 to 24 times a game.
- MIKE VICK - Stange move on the Eagles part............They signed Vick, but all year it was evident thay really didn't know how they wanted to use him. (I also believe they sold their soul when signing him and was a totally unnecessary move.) If you've got Vick then become more adept at using him. Study film of the how the Dolphins use the wildcat because the Eagles were extremely "Vanilla" in their use of Vick in the 'Cat. Also, they never made use of the biggest weapon with Vick, put him and and McNabb on the field at the same time! Better yet, trade him now for some help at Linebacker!
- Somewhere along the way the Eagles have lost some hunger. Even if the Cowboys are a better team right now, the Eagles didn't look very hungry the past 2 weeks. Some even looked relieved to be done with the season............is this a reflection on the coaching staff?
- The loss of Jim Johnson was bigger than expected on defense. Rest his soul, he was such a motivator and innovator for the defense.
- LINEBACKER - When pre-season started Jeremiah Trottier was doing a radio show on a local station. Soon he became the starting middle linebacker. Better be a point of importance come draft time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Desean Jackson - shut up and just play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Well, at least Dan Snider's not your owner!
stay strong and stay fit

Are You Convinced
I'm not. Once again the BCS sucks!!!! I can't see how how Alabama is the best team in the country and could survive a playoff. No way that team, with the wet turd at QB, who goes 6 for 11 for 58 yards, could take that team to a national title in a playoff format. Kudos to Texas for fighting back after losing their senior leader and making things interesting and piss on Nick "Quiter" Saban for pulling an Urban with that last TD.
Sporting events are great to watch if you follow these 3 simple rules.
1. Only watch the game/match from the time it starts to the time it ends. Then turn the channel to The Food Network. It's not the event that sucks, it's the coverage before, during, and after that annoys us.
2. Turn the sound off (very important)!!! I watch sporting events that I am interested in, have played or still play, and I know what is going on. I don't need John Gruden telling me that the Qb didn't get the pass off because he got sacked. Most of us watching know what the hell is up and don't need our sporting hands held thru the game. Christ!!! In last nights bowl game it took my wife 2 seconds to see that Central Michigan was going for the 2 pt conversion and she doesn't watch a whole lot of football.
3. Realize that all sports media people and commentators are always right and your opinion in the matter is DEAD WRONG!!!
Good to see that my Chiefs hired Charlie "Irish" Weis to be their new OC. Ex-Patriots OC hooking up with a Ex-Patriots QB should be a positive for KC. Weis did very well at ND calling the O and now he won't have to worry about that other thing.... DEFENSE!!!
Yes, it took Andre Dawson 20 years to build up his numbers but does he belong with in the HOF with the likes of Ruth, Wagner, Aaron , and Seaver??? I don't know, Maybe, but it took all those guys over 20 years (Ruth 21, Seaver 20, Wagner 20, Aaron 23) to build up their numbers!!! He is one of only 3 players in history to have 400+ HR and 300+ SB in a career. One MVP and and 2 runner ups plus 8 gold gloves. Very similar career stats to 1st bid HOF Cal Ripken who got a lot of his props from his 2,131.
Who is Tiger Woods???
Now finally I have to do something that may outrage most of you. I am going to have to defend Gilbert Arenas and his gun toting actions.
1. Don't you know and understand that carrying a cache of handguns is a African American cultural thing. You don't understand because you are not black. Shit... Since the evolution of "Blackkind," all African Americans have been running around with gold plated Dessert Eagles, Glocks, and Tech 9s. I don't see what all the fuss is about. During the "slave days" African Americans would secure their 9mm and Uzis in their wood shed lockers while they were working. They didn't get suspended nor were they ever involved in any federal investigation. Just try to be more understanding of other cultures, PLEASE!!!
2. Gilbert said he only brought the guns to the locker room so he could play a joke on a teammate and I believe him. Finally, someone who gets true comedy. When I was playing sports I often thought it would be fucking hilarious if a teammate of mine brought several handguns into the locker room, pointed a load gun(s) at me, and said, April Fools Mother Fucker!!! I would of laughed my ass off and thought that that was some funny shit. Well now that Gilbert is suspended, and possibly out of a job, he can take his show on the road. I know the crowds at the Improv would love it if he blasted some 00 buckshot over their heads. Stay funny Gilbert!!!
3. Why can't you deal with the fact that Gilbert, and other rich athletes, carry firearms for protection. I mean come on, he lives in a million dollar home in a high society area. How much worse could it be for Gilbert? Always worried if you are going to get jacked by the doctor who lives next door to you or the CEO who lives across the street. It's not like he gets to live in the secure, lavish confines of South Central LA, then I could understand not needing any guns. Look at Lebron James. He said he doesn't carry a gun or even own a gun. He doesn't use body guards either and says he doesn't need guns or guards becasue he doesn't put himself in bad positions. Lebron obviously needs to get a life and take another look at his cultural ancestory. If you get a chance you can stop by and see him at his summer home in LA. He lives right next to Kobe Bryant at 1234 Ballhog Drive in Bighead City, CA. Maybe he will prank you when you show up, like blowing up you car with a rocket launcher???
One thing is for sure though, I bet Tiger Woods would trade places with Gilbert in a heartbeat!
Til next time,
Stick em up!!!

Is 2010 only 6 days old?
People think sports are great to watch. WRONG! The great thing about sports is trying to follow all the changes, injuries, and stupid decisions made by those who coach and play the games. Here we are only 6 days into a new year and already we've got a lot to talk about.....
What would we do without the overpaid athlete acting like a hoodlum? Gilbert "don't make me made or I'll shoot" Arenas saw fit to take guns into the Wizards' lockerroom. If that wasn't enough, Arenas was interviewed jocking about the incident and then was photographed before a game making gun shooting gestures. Hey, to the NBA player this is one big joke. Well, Gilbert, commish Stern has seen fit to suspend you indefinitely.
Wes Welker is out for the playoffs. Looks like Randy Moss will see plenty of double teams this week from the Ravens
Did you knwo Tiger Woods' caddie Steve Williams has other skills? Well he is a champion stock car racer in Australia. He recently won Australia's "Saloon Car" Championship. He last won the "Super Saloon" class championship in 2006. Wonder how many women he;s taken for a ride?
Andre Dawson get elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Dawson played for 20 years and built up "good" homerun and stolen base stats, but it took over 20 years! I thought the HOF was built for players like Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Henry Aaron, Tom Seaver, etc....
Mike Shanahan gets hired by the Deadskins. Whew, I can't keep up with who is their head coach. Shanahan won a Super Bowl, but that was with John Elway. Do you know in 10 years after Elway retired Shanahan only won a total of 1 playoff game with another QB.....
Elin Woods is still seaking a divorce...
- "The Buck" will be happy to hear that it looks like ex-Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis will be named the next offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs.
What do you think.....?

It's a new year...
Good Day!
If you've been paying attention to my NFL picks, you'll see that my final record for the regular season was 145 - 85. Not bad, but I was just picking straight winners. I did take a little hit this past weekend as some teams like the Bengals decided to "let" the Jets win.
Now the playoffs begin......
Will the Eagles decide to show up this weekend? I can't believe they didn't give a better effort last week against the 'Boys in order to get a Bye and a home game!
Will the Ravens be able to shut down Tom Brady? More importantly, will the Ravens offense be able to score more than field goals. They better if they want to win!
Flip a coin on the Cardinals and Pack.
I would suspect the outcome from the Bengals and Jets will be a little bit different this week in Cincinnati.
Looking ahead...........Will rest provide the COLTS the edge needed to make it to the 'Bowl?
How about the Saints losing 2 straight heading into the playoffs? Which team shows up?
Please somebody take out Brett Favre! Can't stand the Vikings!
Chargers may seem like a hot team, but don't forget their one disability......Norv Turner is their coach.
May I apologize to all you COLT fans for my previous blog complaining about their no show against the Jets!

Sugar Bowl
Up by 30 and you go for it on 4th down to score, what class you have Urban. I am not sure if i have seen a game plan set up to make sure one guy has huge stats like Florida is doing right now. Tebow can throw for 500 yards in this game, he still isnt gonna be a good NFL QB. I am also glad to see they reinstated Dunlap after his DUI arrest.
