STUPID !!!!!!

I hope my fellow Bloggers were able to watch the Auburn/Georgia game today. It was a great game until the last 8 minutes or so. Auburn went up 49-31 with 2 minutes and 45 seconds to go in the game. They had game clinched and I was then subjected to some of the stupidest coaching I have ever seen.

If you didn't watch the game then I will lay some ground work for you to follow. With less then 2 minutes to go, Georgia had the ball and was driving hard. Apparently one of Auburn's DTs hit UG's QB late and the UG team was pissed. During the last drive the UG linemen went after the Auburn DT who allegedly hit their QB late. A fight ensued which was started by some minor shoving between teams. The Georgia bench cleared and then a Auburn player threw a punch. He was ejected from the game. He was a starting linebacker.

First let me say that I do not condone fighting, punch throwing, or anything like that during a football game. He deserved to be tossed and shame on him for not being able to control himself. The very next play another scuffle broke out and a UG lineman instigated another punch being thrown by a Auburn player. This time it was a starting DT (not the one who allegedly hit the UG QB late earlier in the quarter). This DT was also ejected for throwing a punch. Again.... good, he deserved it.

After that play ended, before the official announced the penalties, I saw the DT (who was the one who hit the UG QB late earlier) getting ready to go back into the game. At this point I lost it. Ask my wife. I was screaming at the TV.

I would like to announce my vote for the stupidest coach in the world....... Auburn's Coach, Coach Gene Chizik. Congratulations Gene. You are one stupid asshole.

His damn team was up 3 scores with 2:45 left in the game. He still had all his starters on defense in the game. I'm sure he didn't plan on 2 of his starters throwing punches and getting ejected but why in the hell were they even in the game??? Why risk anything bad happening when you are up 3 scores with 2 minutes to go. Why risk an injury to key players when the game is locked up. Why let your best DT go back into the game with 40 seconds to go when a fight just occurred because UG players were going after him.

This guy is a moron. Yes... he unfortunately has at least 2 players that can't act right but as a coach, up by 3 scores, pull your starters out to avoid anything from happening. Now he is without 2 of his best defensive players for the first half when they next play Bama.

Good luck dip shit!!!

And in case you were wondering??? He did put the second team D in when the second guy got ejected.

  1. As always, The Buck brings up a great point! One I've always had an issue with and screamed out loud myself.

I did watch the Auburn game and agree completely. The hit Nick Fairly made on the GA QB was late and deserved a penalty. The ball was clearly gone before Fairly was even close to A. Moore. I'm sure the GA players were mad, but Coach Richt better get control and have his players concentrating more on trying to win.
With tha said, YES Auburn should have at least pulled Fairly from the game to diffuse some of the situation. And, as time dwindled substituted more freely.

I've often seen games where the game is out of hand and starters, especially quarterbacks, are still playing. Case in point, last year the Patriots were playing the Titans and were up 42-0 at the half! Second half starts, Patriots receive the 2nd half kickoff and guess who trots on the field? Yep, Tom Brady... Can I ask why? What's the point? Stats? Ratings? Records? ..........and, not only does Brady start the 2nd half, but the Patriots come out throwing! 6 straight passes as they drive down the field for another TD.

On another football issue......I'm watching the Sunday morning pre- football shows and they're showing video of a lot of players arriving at stadiums. Why, I ask, do they all have to wear the massive ear covering headphones? Do they even have music on or are they pretending so they don't have to acknowledge or talk to the people they pass?

  2. Though I did not see the end of the game I did hear about it but everytime they show the highlights on ESPN they dont show the fight. I'm sure Gene had a really good reason for keeping his all-american DT in. Dumb. As long as Cam "Money" Newton was no where near the brawl he doesn't have anything to worry about.

On a side note... One would hope the NCAA could really push this investigation along and in a timely manner before the SEC championship game but I know that cant happen. I'm sure they don't want another Bush problem occurring where a player/team can ruin the outcome of both the Heisman and National title. You hope it's not true but... Yea. We probably wont know til a year from now when hes in the NFL making millions and the only true problems will be put back on the players of Auburn who have no part of it. But its the NCAA not Delaware high school football where Red Lion got pressure from DIAA right before play-offs and decided to turn themselves in for... over practicing and over scheduling and decided to put themselves on probation. Not bringing up the fact that their under investigation for far worse things like changing grades and who else knows. I hope DIAA doesnt let it go and furthers their investigation.

Also it was a scary day in college football where the top 2 teams could have fallen. TCU and Boise 1 and 2. Awesome!!!
