I accidentily posted this without actually writing anything.
Its Tuesday and all i am seeing on TV and hearing on the Radio is Favre, Romo, Cowboys, How the yankees and Phillies arent in the WS. Nobody is talking about the shaft Boise got in the BCS poll. Also they have an extremely tough matchup with LA Tech tonight, bye bye undefeated season.
1. Favre will start and come out early just to keep his streak going. Also good chance him a childress get in a fight during the game.
2. Romo isnt that good, this might actually help the Cowboys cause Garrett may use this 3 good running backs for once.
3. Cowboys hate their coach and dont give a shit what he or the coordnators say so the season is done for them.
4. MLB and FOX may lose millions because of this World Series matchup but i think it is the greatest matchup in years. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Yankees.
5. Boise Sucks let them in the Championship so i can watch them lose.
Yayyy!!! Boise Tuesday. I've been counting down the days to this day since camp started. They are stepping it up with the Tues./Wed. games. We usually just get a Troy - East Tenn St. match-up.
1. Duh.
2. Duh. Garrett gives him all the chances in the world to be great and rack up stats. And that is why the running game sucks. I feel bad for Romo...
3. It's not that they don't like him, it's they don't Respect him. Jerry should of got rid of him when he had the chance. But I don't think they should go with Garrett either. He's the reason their offense stalls.
4. Yawn. It's baseball. But then again I'd be all about it if the O's or Billy Ripken were in it.
5. Hey! Leave Boise alone. They are my friend. I just ordered a blue Boise hoodie to wear in January when they play for the National tile... after the tough test tonight, they still have Hawaii, Idaho, Fresno, Nevada, and Utah St. who will try to prevent them from scoring over 50.
I had my truck painted Boise Blue today in preparation for tonight.
I like Wade Phillips, but I think he's in over his head as a head coach. Especially in a place where the owner likes to have a say in draft picks and play calling.
Tony Romo is extremely overrated. Did you see the comments by former Cowboys Tony Dorsett and Charles Haley? They basically said the current 'Boys were heartless, spoiled, and want to act too much like stars and not get down and dirty in the trenches.
As for Boise St...I will not waste a minute watching them play a meaningless game tonight against La Tech. Some on this blog think I'm too stuck on my bashing of Boise, but I can't get over it. The whole situation drives me nuts! Here they are with another 2nd class foe. Looking at this weeks other games, let's compare:
#1 Oregon gets to go to #24 USC. USC may not be as good as the past, but 1000 times better than 90% of BS' schedule.
#3 Auburn goes to Mississippi. 1 week after playing LSU. If they get by Miss., they do get Chatanooga the following week before a stretch vs. Georgia, and 'Bama to finish the season!
#5 Mich St. gets the privilege of playing #18 Iowa followed by Minnesota, Purdue, and Penn St.
#6 'Bama has LSU and 2 of their last 3 games are vs Miss St. and Auburn
#7 Missouri fresh off beating last week's BCS #1 Oklahoma gets to rest up against Nebraska before a stretch of Texas Tech, Kansas St., and an Iowa St team which just beat Texas.
I know Fritz, it really sucks Boise has to play such an easy game this week. Maybe they should go out and schedule Navy every year so they can get waxed by Navy every year like Notre Dame does.
Boise State is playing tonight??? I did not realize that. I thought the only thing on tv tonight was the Miami Heat v. boston celtics game. I can't turn the damn channel without hearing something about Lebron and the Heat. One would think that if the Heat win tonight then the season is over and crown them the NBA champs.
1) I just hope Favre doesn't brake his penis.
2) Romo needs to concentrate more on football instead of vacationing and his golf game. He would still suck though.
3) Actually I think the Cowboys like Wade cuz he lets them do what ever they want. They hated Parcells cuz he was so tough and were so happy when Wade cam in cuz he is "a players coach." Well you got what you wished for dumb asses.
4) I look forward to the World Series cuz I think the Rangers are swell. I will watch unless Joe Buck and Tim McGarver are doing the game.
5) Don't get so worked up Commish. The BCS system will NEVER allow Boise State to play in the championship game. Like Bottle ... I painted my grass Smurf Turf blue and rented a bucking bronco to run around on it.
1)Again we keep going back to strength of schedule, but again I ask where is the Bama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, etc... offers to play Boise??? Oh yeah that's right there's no money in that, and what an embarassment to lose to Boise and their blue turf. These bigger schools wouldn't risk any of that. NOT BOISE STATE'S FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!
2)They have proven themselves in their own conference. As a coach and as student athletes they have proven themselves. They did not call ESPN and ask if they could be the focal point of all Fri Sat and Sun ESPN broadcasts. NOT BOISE STATE'S FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!
3) If just one coach would have the "BALLS" to say to their own administration... "It's time for us to take a stand, we'll go to Boise and play on that stupid ass blue field, beat their asses and come home like it was practice"... then I would have to say noone would be able to argue about Boise State. That has not happened, and I venture to say it will not. NOT BOISE STATE'S FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fritzy... I can only call it like I see it. Notre Dame SUX!!!!!! They have not been a powerhouse for a very long time. The game has changed and until they start to change thier coaching styles and philosophies they will never be up there again. I am a life-long Redskins fan and supporter. I know when a team sucks and you still have to root for them! I applaud your effort, but Boise is a good team, and would beat 95% of the field out there today.
Hey, as i type this line the opening kickoff just happened. FINALLY! Lets leave Notre Dame out of this we all know they suck so why pick on them we are currently picking on a team that thinks they are awesome but arent, so follow along.
Rollin, 1. Strength of schedule IS BOISE'S FAULT! they make their schedule they choose who they will play. I dont remember hearing Boise tell Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Bama, etc. saying hey guys we want to prove ourselves and we will come to you and play. But thats right hey like going undefeated against no one.
2. Their conference adds to their strength of Schedule. The have had numerous chances including this year to leave their conference for a better one and have refused. Why is that, well i can only assume because they wouldnt dominate that conference. Again BOISE'S FAULT!
3. I agree some school should step up and go whip them there, but lets also think about even though Boise claims no one will accept their offer to come play them, are they really challenging teams to come play them or is it just talk because i know if i offered Oklahoma and Bama to come play me and they said no we dont want to i would be letting everyone know that they were scared to play me. THis one is not Fully Boise's fault.
let me clairfy this... not any one of the athlete's faults!!! More so the fault of the athletic director. Those kid's deserve to be playing some of the better schools, and as I was corrected on here before, by Mass or You not sure who. The schedule is made 3 years in advance. Again not the fault of any one of those athletes. As far as them leaving their conference, I have not heard anything about that. Again this will never be put to rest unless there is a playoff system. And that won't happen b/c there are so many people getting rich off these school's bowl games. I still would argue that there is no excuse for some of theses schools to make public offers to play Boise. Never will happen!!!!!
I can't believe you made me log back on for this shit. It's not even an argument until they start playing common opponents. I'm not saying they deserve to be #1, but they definitely deserve a look. How can anyone knock em for becoming a better than average team?!?!?? I would like to see them play Auburn or Missouri, that Defense is quick and can hang with more than a few offenses in the country. With the teams that have gotten beat this year anything can happen.
I guess all in all the real problem is the rankings and BCS scoring of the top 5 teams...
ok, Frank, you want to go there? Boise must be so damn good, I hear your 1-6 San Francisco 49ers won't even go to Boise and play them!
Rollin.....look at it this way...when you were coaching middle school wrestling you had some very good teams, but even you wouldn't be able to get St Marks varsity to come play you! That's what it's like for most of these teams to go to a small stadium with no $. When a team has to "PROVE" itself, THEY need to travel to others to play. Until you are the big dog, you don't expect other to travel to you! That's just ridiculous!
Oh by the way...it's only 14-7 Boise at the end of the 1st. By looking at the game on TV I can see why Boise is tough to beat. You can't f..king see them! Their blue uni's blend in with the stupid as blue field.
Wow i just heard something even more stupid then Boise deserves to be number one. They just said Kellen Moore should be on the heisman list. All my arguements about Boise playing the weakest schedule in the world apply to Moore when it comes to him being a Heisman finalist.
Cant wait to hear Rollins wonderful reasons why he should win the Heisman. Well i guess its not his fault that his team plays a middle school schedule.
Nice crack on the Niners, but come playoff time they will sitting the same place your whimpy Dolphins will be, home watching.
Ok Fritz, here is a little fun fact for you. Who is the number one team in the nation right now, the mighty Oregon Ducks. What team has beat Oregon the last two years.
And quit talking about the strength of schedule with conference teams, yes Michigan State plays Iowa and if they win they are the real wild card because the rest of their schedule sucks. They play Minnesota, Purdue and Penn State, 3 teams that blow this year, don't get caught up in the label, actually take your green glasses off and look at the product. If Michigan State wins against Iowa, they will run the table and most likely play for a National title, all because they played in a weak Big Ten and didnt have to play Ohio State this year and once again, we will have a Big Ten team in the national championship game to get blown out by a superior team.
I would rather watch a Boise or TCU do that, at least it would make for a better story and probably a better game.
is it just me or is anyone else annoyed by the sound of the lezy, country accent of the woman commentator of the Boise game? kinda suits the teams playing.. 2nd tier announcers for a 2nd tier game.....you don't think Keith Jackson's coming out of retirement to travel to Boise to announce a Tuesday pm game do you?
according to Rollin, Moore should win the Heisman because no one else offered to win it.....I hope Moore gets his degree because he won't be quarterbacking any NFL team anytime soon. (Maybe an arena or CFL team)
Frank....you'll laugh, but I contend that Boise would NOT be undefeated if they even had to play in The Big 10. Even with the Big 10 being "weak". Play Iowa, Mich St., Michigan, Purdue, etc... and they would have to deal with what Big 10, SEC and Big 12 teams have to deal with almost every week.....injuries and constant preparation which wears mentally. Right now they don't have to deal with getting "beat up" every week, nagging injuries to key players from tough games, nor the constant mental stress.
I hear Boise is taking a step up next year and joining the Henlopen North
