TRUE HERO!!!!

I was actually in the middle of a rant about Manny Being Manny and realized what the hell am i doing, lets talk about a TRUE HERO .

One year ago today Officer Chad Spicer was killed while protecting his home town. He was a great man, freind, son, brother, and most importantly father. Take this time to remember him and keep your thoughts and prayers with his family especially his little girl Aubrey.

Remember when you are out playing golf, watching your kids at little league, working, sleeping, whatever you are doing, that these men and women are out their on the streets both in this country and other countries keeping us safe protecting our freedom, and willing to lose their life to do so. Miss you Chad and THANK YOU!!!!!!

Got any good Chad Stories id love to hear them.

  1. Excellent post!!! I think you said it all in your post and his heroism will never be forgotten.

Funny story about Chad. When I was working at SPCC, Chad was working for the pro shop one summer. I had just finished re-shafting some members driver. The club was resting against the back wall of the pro shop, allowing time to dry the epoxy so the shaft would be firmly attached to the head of the club. (This takes about half a day or so).

I was on my way back (to the pro shop) from the clubhouse when I saw Chad standing along the side of the pro shop. He had a club in hand. Looked like a driver from where I was standing. Usually a lot of clubs lying around in the back of the pro shop so I didn't think much of it. As I approached Chad he said, this is a really nice club. He then proceeded to take a swing of the club. As Chad followed through with his swing the fucking club head came flying off at about 100 mph.

It was the club I had just repaired. Holy Shit!!! The club head sailed about 40 yards across the grounds separating the pro shop from the clubhouse. BAMMMMM! The club strikes a glass panel in one of the doors of the club house. Funniest shit I have ever seen. The look on Chad's face was priceless. It was a combination of Oh shit, what to I do now, and I'm probably getting fired. I laughed my ass off.

Throughout the summer Chad made me laugh by doing several silly things like the one I mentioned above. He was always in a good mood and was loads of fun to be around.

Not a close friend but someone I know I could count on if need be.

    God bless Chad

  2. I appreciate this post. I laughed out loud when reading The Buck's club repair story because I can picture Chad doing exactly that.

I met Chad when he was in 8th grade. I was still teaching school and he was a student of mine. At first he seemed like a little nat. Always trying to get in my good graces. However, as time went on I just realized that this is who he was. Just an overly nice guy. I never realized he had the desire to go into law enforcement.

I gave him a lot of credit when it came to physical health. When in 8th grade he was a short chubby kid. As time went on, and especially after high school, he transformed his body for his job. That showed me his desire to acheive the things he wanted.

We all take so many things for granted. Mainly because we have come to depend on being protected by people like Chad.

  3. Chad was a good friend for my first few years out of high school, we were together all the time...So many great stories, none which really do him justice for who he was. The thing that I always say about Chad was that he was such a loyal person to the people he cared about. That was the one thing that stuck out when we were running around together. He loved his parents, he loved his friends. I really wasn't as close to him in the years following where he had a child and became a cop, so can't really comment on that part of his life. But I can certainly say that I think about him everyday at some point and miss him dearly.
