I blog this knowing I'm gonna get beat up by the too young to know better bloggers out there.
The All Star Home Run Derby.
These hitters get to bring their own batting practice pitcher....have that pitcher throw straight pitches of no more than 65mph......right to where they discuss is where the batter likes it......
If you really want to impress me have a "real" pitcher throwing "real" fastballs....no breaking stuff...but real 90+mph fastballs....then we'll have a true HR derby.
And why does ESPN think everyone wants to hear rap music all that time. How bout something else coming back from commercials. And how about the music in the stadium? Guess gangster rap is in at All Star games?

Since when did the Commish become 75 and a cynical white supremacist? On the home run derby. It is a little boring but I do like to see just how far these guys can hit it. Yanking the ball 337 ft. for a home run isn't impressive as I think I could do that, but seeing guys hit it 500 ft keeps me watching.

ReplyDeleteI had the same thought on the Commish. I think the only thing he enjoys watching anymore are the Nationals and Notre Dame, anything else he hates.
ReplyDeleteCommish when you watch things do you spend most of the time thinking of reasons you dont like what they are doing instead of enjoying them for what they are an exhibition.
As for Mass, i am not sure if you can hit bombs at 330ft with a wooden bat but am willing to watch you try. Frank you got any BP left in that arm.
I cant believe i am going to say this but the NBA might have the best ALL star game after all. The NFL sucks, MLB players only play a couple innings and it just isnt very fun to watch. The NBA may not play defense but atleast the top players are all playing and they are putting on a good shoe for the fans.
Didn't think about the wooden bats...you probably got me there.
