DAAAAAAAA BEARS!

Here you go commish a little football talk that doesnt involve the draft.

I didnt mind the comments that Sayers made about the Bears. He was 100% correct and he was actually pretty kind in what he said about them. He said Cutler hasnt done a good job, he said he isnt sure if Urlacher can come back from his injuries. Sayers didnt really say anything wrong, but i can see how it offended Urlacher.

My point is why is Urlacher the bad guy for responding. Why is it ok for Sayers to talk about the Bears and how bad they are but it isnt ok for Urlacher to tell everyone what Sayers didnt win.

This is just another reason why most of the Media blows. If its ok for one person to talk bad about others, then it has to be ok for another to do the same.

I dont like Cutler or Urlacher or the Bears, but im glad someone stood up for themselves against these old retired guys who think they can say whatever they want and everyone should kneel down to them.

One last question, DA Commish vs. DA Advisor, who would win?

  1. Da Booth, you make a few good points. I think it's all fodder for sports people to talk about anyway. I'm mean when you have a 24 hour sports network who also has network#2, networkHD, networkU, etc....you got to find something to fill in the time...

I do think Urlacher really blew things out of context. If you asked me what's wrong with the Bears I would have gicen the same answer and probably been a little more harsh about it. Difference is Urlacher doesn't know who I am. .....I would have said 1. Lovie Smith sucks as a coach, 2. Cutler sucks as a QB, 3. The defense is a shell of it's former self. 4. Urlacher at this stage of career is probably a little overrated and yes, probably will have a hard time coming back after knee surgery.

Gee...as they say...the truth hurts. Urlacher needs to look in the mirror and accept the fact that Sayers said just that...THE TRUTH. He didn't say he wanted the Bears to suck or lose or that he didn't like Urlacher. Just the facts man.

Urlacher can be upset by what anybody has to say. It's his right. I get upset about things too. Where Urlacher went really out of the realm of context is referring to the fact that Sayers wasn't on a championship team or a playoff team. That really has nothing to do with the situation. As far as I can recall Urlacher hasn't won a championship either. Plus, winning championships is not all on 1 man. It's a team thing.

This kinda reminds me of Hanley Ramirez recently getting benched by the Marlins for being an ass then accusing the manager, Freddie Gonzalez for not knowing what he's doing for having never played in the Majors........ You know, leave another person's career out of it....Guess what, here's a list of people off the top of my head who never played in the Majors, but were good and even championship managers/coaches or Hall of Fame players who never won a championship:

    1. Earl Weaver
    2. Buck Showalter
    3. Vince Lombardi
    4. Tom Coughlin
    5. Dan Marino
    6. Warren Moon
    7. Nolan Ryan
    8. Jim Kelly
    etc..........

So the argument of you never won anything or never played in the pros really holds no water.....

  2. Oh i have no problem with what he said. I agree with what he said. I just dont think you can get upset or angry at Urlacher for responding. All he did was TELL THE TRUTH and state the facts and his opinion of Sayers. You cant have it one way for certain people and one way for others.

Also you didnt answer my last question
