I need input for our golf classic.......please comment..
My original plans were to play our tourney at Heritage Shores in Bridgeville. However, they have upped their greens fees this year. Therefore I'd like to put a choice before the group regarding $.
We can play Hertiage Shores for the following on a Saturday morning:
1. 18 holes w/cart for $55.00
2. 27 holes w/cart for $75.00
I spoke with them and that's their bottom line.
Disadvantage - higher cost
Advantage - Course is always in excellent condition and it's close to my house for the awards/party.
The Bay Club on a Saturday A.M. :
1. 18 holes w/cart for $45.00
2. 27 holes w/cart for $60.00
Disadvantage - further drive for the after party/awards
Advantage - $15.00 less per person for 27 holes.
Course (especially greens) not as nice as Heritage, but the East Course is usually in very nice.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm in for either. Would have thought Bay Club would've been cheaper, but I guess not for a weekend AM. 15 bucks is not a big difference for me.

ReplyDeleteHeritage Shores! Its only $15 bucks more and if some are to tight to come off an extra $15 I will help them pay. Its closer and a better course. Also those who will be part taking in beverages (which is everyone) will like the shorter drive back to the party.

As of Tuesday April 20, 2010 (11:11pm) I have not received a reply from Fritz.
The funny thing about cell phones is they record all transmissions sent and received. They show the time and date and things like that. Its really cool and helpful when people try to bust your balls.

I would like to extend my deepest appologies to my opposing captain. I was going off the information provided by the great commish. Maybe he is trying to create problems between us before the big match. If we need to bypass the Commish and meet on our own then contact me and we can set up the teams.

ReplyDeleteDa Booth and I have NOT finalized teams. We just messaged each other with our thoughts Monday pm. I texted Team FIGJAM captain The Buck as I had done so prior. Due to workin, life, etc... did eventually get a response. Last nite did not suit me. Sorry!!!!!!!!! I will spank myself a 1,000 lashes!
I trust that cooler heads will prevail as my choice of Captains was made with the knowledge of their incredible INTEGRITY, GENEROSITY, COMPASSION and SPORTSMANSHIP!
I, The Commish, will meet with both Capts. to finalize and publish teams and finalize formats.
As to the course:
NO, I WILL NOT BE PLAYING SUCKASS PINES! Knowing them they will probably raise our rate by the time we finish 18 holes.

Heritage Shores: 2 (1 vote was sent to me by text)
My vote, as Commish, will be held until I feel I have sufficient response from the group. I will do what is good for the outing. I don't think I've ever been accused of being a poor host! And I don't expect for that to start now.

I have officially changed my "I don't care" vote to a vote for Heritage Shores. I think golfers of our caliber deserve only the best course conditions to compete upon.
ReplyDeleteFor those who may be chosen to be a part of Team FIGJAM, I would like to clear up any confusion that may have resulted from DA Booth's previous post.
I assure you, as your team captain, that I am totally committed to this years The One True Word Golf Tournament.
I Promise you one thing, a lot of good will come out of this. You will never see any golfer in the entire country golf as hard as I will golf during this tournament. You will never see someone push the rest of his teammates as hard as I will push them during this tournament. In the end we shall hoist our trophy high and our pride even higher.

The Buck
I guess the chief will have to pay my $15. I hope to make more money in the coming years. I will do what I can to make it work. Don't hold this against me Captain FIGJAM.

How could I hold something against someone who helped me clean shit and vomit off a grown man's body, strip him naked in a parking lot and wash him off with beer, then drive 80 miles with all the windows down in 40 degree weather cuz it stunk so bad in the car.
