I talked about the coverage over Tiger and how I'm sick of all of it. I also stated how i know its not Tigers fault for the most part, i realized this is why i didn't like Tiger for so many years and now i find myself routing for him more often than not.
Jim Nantz just came out chastising tiger for the way he acted and spoke on the course. I understand Tiger said he wouldn't act like that anymore, but he was actually calm compared to the old tiger. It must have been the sunglasses.
Nantz was crying on some radio station about how if he did that at his job he would be fired. You are right Jim you would be, your job is sitting in front of a TV with a microphone talking about a sporting event. Tigers job is playing golf, their is no rule that says he cant curse,(atleast enforced) There is however a rule/law in your profession that says you CANT. How is that the same i dont get it. Nantz is jumping on the hate Tiger band wagon to make himself look cool, there was no bigger Tiger lover than Jim Nantz until Saturday when he realized it would benefit him to bash Tiger.I never saw Nantz go on the radio bashing on those college coaches and players in the NCAA tournament who cursed everytime down the court.
Here is an Idea, if you dont want Tiger to curse on air dont set up bomb mic's that pic up everything he says from 300 yards away, i think Tiger should sue for invasion of privacy.

As far as Tiger goes, you know how I feel about him. But I do agree that you can't set up microphones all around the guy purposely to hear that stuff and then slam him for it. Seems like a cheap shot to me.
wait a minute...let's not get soft here! I have seen posts from both of you before regarding the great eldrick and there never has been a tear shed before. Don't get soft now. Yes, there tons of microphones around Tiger, but that's even more reason for him to control himself. I have heard him drop the "F Bomb" before and quite frankly I'm tired of hearing "G DAMNIT" and "J CHRIST"! He was guilty of blurbing those two phrases over and over again. It makes him sound like a spoiled baby. He asked for all the media attention. He's put himself out there. Now I don't want to hear how he doesn't like to be called on the carpet for it.

I said i didnt like how Jim Nantz the former Tiger lover as of Saturday morning now Tiger hater called him on the carpet for it. This has nothing to do with Tigers feelings it has to do with Jim Nantz trying to get in the headlines.
ReplyDeleteEven though i wasnt talking only about Coach K there Mass, there wasnt a game that went by in the NCAA tournament that you didnt here coaches and players cursing and these were words NOT allowed on tv UNLIKE "G Damnit" and "J Christ". To use Matts example, and i know he isnt the only one even Roy and the great ND coach Brey curse. I watched Coach K curse an official out and he knew their were micophones everywhere. Shouldnt that be reason for him to control himself like you say it is for Tiger.
That example wasnt ment to bash Coach K it just worked out that way. It was to show how Jim Nantz didnt care it was happening then but all of a sudden when Tiger did it then its bad.
Dont let your hatred for Tiger get confused with me getting soft, i think the only two bad things i said about Tiger was Jack would kick his ass and The Buck is in love with him, but i have had to retract that last statement because it pissed The Buck off.
Just Remember dont curse or say anything bad, throw clubs even pout when you are playing bad on the golf course it makes you look spoiled. The Advisor and Jim Nantz are watching.
