Wow...I haven't seen any action on here in over a week. The Buck's comeback post has seemed to scare everyone away. He does seem to be a rather intimidating figure, but the blog must go on. A few things I'm thinking about this wonderful, snowy Thursday.
1. A little late, but Reggie Wayne played like a sissy girl in the Super Bowl. Bill Polian blamed the O Line and the Special Teams, but he should have pointed his rich finger at #87. If you're hurt, sit out. If not, make plays. That's what #1 receivers do. That crossing route on 4th down at the end zone caused a little vomit to come up in my mouth.
2. Now, understand that I am #1 Carolina Hater, and enjoyed the lackluster beatdown that Duke gave the TarHeels last night. But I am not stupid enough to understand that this will be the ONLY year that this type of thing will be happening to the Heels. There recruiting class for next year is similar to Kentucky's this year. They will be back on top, and the Duke/NC battle next year should be epic, with both teams possible final four favorites.
3. Am I the only one rooting against Danica Patrick? What has this chick ever done in her sport??? I have never seen anyone so untalented get so much. Look, if you want to pose in Playboy, fine. I am all for it. But what makes you think you are going to be anything but a side circus in Nascar. I give it 5 races, and people will yawn.
Well, off to school to start next week. Please feel for us hard-working teachers when we have students in July.

ReplyDeleteoff to school)first of all no sympathy for having to go to school in july most people work 12 months out of the year. only sympathy is for the children sweating due to lack of ideas on how to spend "educational monies" (a whole entirely seperate discussion). hardly working teachers is a better adjective. there are quite a few teachers who go in at 745 and leave at 330, not exactly a strenuous job. only if you care that the child you have sent out your classroom doors everyday truly gets waht you are trying to teach them, that then means you take your job home and you may care.
3) as far as nascar... have you or has anyone you know ever made it through an entire race without yawning regardless of wether danica patrick is in one of those cars. how about we take some the country's top killers/murderers, rapists, what have you's, and put them on the track to dodge cars, they're on death row "F" em.
when you look up the word redundant in the dictionary it reads 2 things... 1.see redundant and 2.watch a nascar race. yyyaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnn
2)not a huge basketball fan. as far as i can remember, dean smith built that program, and roy boy walked into it. coach k built that program he deserves it. that is about the extent of my basketball knowledge.
3)Reggie wayne... who cares??? i am not a fan of either team. they both look like their coaches made a genious decision benching starters in the last 3 weeks of the season, and both made it to the superbowl. i thought it was a great game. good to see some one win with a little flare and gusto. the colts drive at the end before the interception was well played. reggie wayne... that is what #1 receivers do you are right. they always punk up, and for what??!? 3 million dollars in that second half. greedy f-in bastard. what the hell right? he got paid.

ReplyDelete1.)Reggie did punk out on that pass at the goal line. But we are all assuming that Reggie ran the wrong route on that interception. Peyton missed him 3 times down the sideline wide open, wheres that bashing. Could the great Peyton have thrown a bad ball( i know i shouldnt say things like that). When he threw outside the saints knew it and were all over the routes. The owner blamed the O-Line ( may be bias here) didnt they dominate them running the ball and just stop. They let Peyton do what he wanted and it back fired. Normally i would let him throw the ball everywhere too, but running the ball is what they should have done.
2) Danica, i dont really care cause she is in the nationwide series. That series is a bunch of shit anyway cause they let sprint cup drivers race all the time their. Until she makes it to the bigs i hope she wrecks harvick and edwards every week.
3)UNC will be back and dominate. Anonymous you are right you dont know anything about basketball. Smith built UNC but Williams rebuilt it he wasnt given much. Coach K i refuse to talk about, but he is Top 5.
4) School in July, your right you do work 12 months and get paid more for it. I love how everybody bashes teachers for only working 10 months. It happens for 2 reasons, jealous and Denial. Jealous cause you wish you could do that. Denial cause you have everyone including yourself believing that you work a full 8 or 9 hours a day.
Mass- have fun without school we all know the IRSD is working on ways to make us make up more than we actually missed.

ReplyDelete1. no where was money mentioned except for the wayne situation. a little jealous of the fact that someone gets payed to play a game, but who isn't?? be honest. only a slightly annoyed that anyone gets paid that much money can't try a little harder or care a little more. as far as peyton, did he throw too much??? it would appear so. You seem to know alot about what someone should have done on monday morning. next year let's see a game plan before hand, b/c now after the game, we can all tell they should have ran the ball a hell of a lot more than they did. on the flip side you can't ever be wrong on monday morning. hindsight is 20/20

4.school & IRSD board, let's not even go there, that is an oxymoron. as far as being jealous... not true. i dont think that bitching b/c you have to work 180+ days a year, and have to make up some extra time is something to be jealous about. there are quite a few teachers i know that have made a very comfortable living 75k + a year. you have to go get it tho it don't come knockin on your door. noone bashes teachers for working 10 months a year. they bash them for whining all the time about nothing. it's a great job, enjoy it. think about it... i've been around a lot of teachers that complain all the time. they have to work about 40 mins staight then 5 mins off 3 or 4 times a day. i never said i was on the "clock" for 8+ hours a day. somewhere you must have felt guilty for stealing taxpayer's and state's money.
when you're in school in july remember that you had the days off in february, and other people didn't.

1. Its not monday morning coaching when its obvious as the game is going on. Having coached and knowing others on here also coached or still do. If what im doing is working KEEP DOING IT. My game plan; Find whats working -keep doing.When it doesnt work anymore then start doing something else.
2. I still hope Danica wrecks every Sprint Cup driver that races a nationwide car.

4. I cant really argue with your first sentence of topic 4. Though you said nowhere in topic 1 did i mention money, nowhere in my rant about school did i mention your name. I do see how you took it as being toward you but it wasnt. I was more annoyed at all those i have read commenting everywhere else. As for teachers, i am around them all the time. I rarely have any of them complain about working, yes you have a few that do mainly because they keep putting shit off then have to do it last minute. they bitch about the kids alot but not work. You tell me anyone who works 45 minutes or more straight without a couple minutes of break, honestly. As for getting paid, Im glad to know im a thief now. As for feeling guilty, i feel no more guilty for getting paid at my job, as any other person does at theirs. Do you feel guilty for where ever you work over charging people for your product. Dont know what it is but i am willing to guess it happens.
I only work to enjoy when I am not working.

Right Anonymous" then points about being jealous and in denial- i was clarifying that i was not jealous or in denial of anything. teaching a very good job, if teachers are bitching about the kids they need to get out of that profession. the kids aren't going anywhere, and teachers are in a position to do some great things with those kids. i aplogize for the use of the word "stealing". it was more of a point that we all work harder to get out of working than we actually work. NOONE works a 12 hour day anymore in a factory for some slave-driver. as far as my job... i don't even have a product to overcharge someone for, and i enjoy both of my jobs.

Again i was only talking about my original post on the topic of school when i said i didnt mention your name. I did go after your other posts and if that upset you i appologize. The "Anonymous-have fun not liking anything" was a joke because in each topic you talked about why you dont care about or like them. I have respect for anyone that works no matter what they do and everyone bitches about their job sometime. No nerve struck here. I love this british shit.

ReplyDelete1. Yes Wayne was absent, but it could have been the fact that Sharper was hovering 25 yeards down the field. The whole thing the pisses me off about that game was how the momentum changed from the Garcon drop and the turd Hank Baskett (which he was an Eagle so that explains alot) missed that onside kick, but all of that aside, the bend but don't break defense bended way to much and 18 was on the sidelines for way to long. I give Payton credit because that was the best coaching job I have ever seen in a big game like that, from the play calling, to the way he handled the end of the first half, to the onside kick, he was money.
2. I enjoyed the Carolina loss as well. Some other things I enjoy is Roy comparing is situation to Haiti, what an idiot. Beating Carolina while Hanstravel was getting his number retired. Beating Carolina while Harrison Barnes was there. Knowing that Carolina will not make the tourny, but if they go to the NIT and win, well hey, back to back, congrats. Knowing Carolina is playing for last place in ACC on Saturday. Quick question, if they finish outside the top ten in ACC can they particpate in the ACC/Big 10 challenge next year?
3. I am rooting for Danica, the only reason she is a side show is cause of the media. I hope she does well and can definatly add to the sport because she can drive, more so than some of the regulars that run every Saturday and Sunday.
This is some good debating going on here. Fritz you must be a proud blog creator. Kind of odd to see a blog about a Super Bowl, a college basketball rivalry, and a female racecar driver. Not to mention a little talk about the school year. Running with Mass-Debators 1-2-3 list.

The finger can be pointed at the o-line and the special teams or even Reggie Wayne all it wants but I don't think it really matters because the Saints would have done anything to win that game and they did. So the Colts old ass owner can blame all he wants, they dont't care what he thinks anyway. Coach Peyton showed that with his 4th down and onside kick call. But i would love to congratulate my boy Jermon Bushrod, he did have it tough the first half against Freeney but who wouldn't. Nice!
2. Duke/UNC. I wouldn't say I am a UNC hater but I am a huge Duke fan. It was nice to see the dukies pull out a win because it hasn't happened much lately in the rivalry. I expected it to be a tough battle but Duke did play down to north carolina's level and it seems to me that UNC is just out there playing street ball. Also, Duke needs a big man!!! Zoubiak is horrible and Lance Thomas is a great defender but with no offense. But It's going to to be nice the next few years when these incoming recruits come and the young players get better on both sides.
3. Racing is boring. Even if there is a chick partipating in it.
As for the whole teacher thing. I would love to be one so that I could work on my tan allday/ everyday of the week during the summer. I'm serious, GTL.

1. Reggie Wayne didn't lose the SBowl. Not sticking to the run & playing ultra conservative Bfore the end of the 1st half did. Give the Saints credit 4 playing a good game (I don't say GREAT cuz it's the most overused word in sports). The biggest mistake the Colts made was having an ex-Eagle, Hank Baskett playing on the the kick return team. He's a damn receiver & should smother that onside kick. Maybe he was distracted thinking bout his whore wife Kendra Wilkinson
2. "F" Carolina & Duke! Can't stand either. How bout those programs uphold entrance standards for kids on the bball teams. Question..why r there only 10 black kids attending Duke & they just so happen to all play on the basketball team??
3. Danica...me like. I hope she wins then does a Brandi Chastain & runs across the infield & rips her shirt off. Sorry Frank the Tank, you're probably 2 young to remember what I'm referring to.
As to schoolsnow days..I speak from experience as being a former teacher & now working outside the school system...
When I was teaching the least thing I complained about were the kids. I think I got along pretty well w/ most of my students. Yes, there were some that were a pain, but I always remembered I could be digging ditches.
I really dont remember complaining bout a lot. The job is good & has more days off then a retired man has. Pay is good, especially if u get ur masters. Anyone who doesnt is leaving thousands on the table.
Snow days as a came to me just like I was a kid. Loved'em. A day off is a day off as a teacher friend of mine recently said.
Some in education do bitch too much & I always wonder why dont they do something else. REASON: not enuff balls to stick their ass out & try! Here's the biggest complaint bout snow days, which bugs me. Teacher complains cuz he/she feels like they're working for free in the summer. Guess what, it's called working on a salary. U don't get paid by the hour. U get paid a salary to do a job no matter how long it takes. If u want to get paid extra for those make up days fine, But then u owe us tax money back for all the snow days u didnt work! Can't have it both ways.
I don't get paid by the hour. I get a salary & commissions. Sometimes I work 9-10 hours a day, sometimes 4. Evens out. The commission only comes from the work I do. None of it is guaranted when January 1 hits.
How bout teachers getting paid commissh on how well students learn? Maybe the teacher who works his/her ass off & really cares will make what he/she is worth. Not less than the guy/gal in the classroom next door who just happens to have 25 years in, doesn't give a "F", doesn't keep track of the kids or just assigns chapt. 10 & the ?s at the end. How bout some accountability? If I was in charge I would do away with a pay system based on amount of years you have w/ the state. I would pay based on performance. Only then will standards be raised & schools produce a great product.
