Blog fans....Don't look now, but March will be with us before we know it...I know this because I have seen WBOC's corny commercial about looking forward to Spring...But I also know that March Madness will be here before you know it. I know we have some serious sports fans on here, so I was wondering what everybody's Final Four predictions are.
As far as mine, I feel there are some teams definitely pulling away from the pack. It is clear to see that the Big East is again the cream of the crop as far as the best conference. They have some great teams full of NBA talent. Syracuse is loaded, and their zone really throws teams off, especially in the tourney. Villanova is super athletic and tough, as evidenced by their throttling of Duke last year in the tourney. They have struggled as of late, but have the experience to be players again.
Don't discount the Big 10. Although Perdue, the class of the league, was crippled earlier this week when the heart of their team Hummel tore his ACL, they still have talent. But don't sleep of Ohio State. They have a good coach and a great player in Evan Tanner. Michigan St. is also a tourney team, they always seem to peak in March.
As of right now, my final four consists of Kansas, Villanova, Syracuse and Ohio State.
Thoughts???

Syracuse looks good. Gotta give it some thought and research before I give my picks
ReplyDeleteI like Kansas and Syracuse as locks but outside of that I am not sure. Nova is good but they tend to not play defense in stretches. Kentucky may get there but it comes down to matchups. I hate the fact that a big 10 team will be in there but it seems like every year somehow, someway on of them gets there. All in all, depending on what the bracket looks like, I'd say its a good chance we may have 4 one seeds in the final 4.
ReplyDeleteMy mid-major that will make soe noise is Northern Iowa
