Same Old Story
You know I got to thinking, maybe Brett Favre can come back next year for another team, lead them to the Championship game, and then through another pick to end his team's season. But its ok, he is the old "gunslinger", and thats just what he does, loses when it matter the most...
Harsh words for the 'ol gunslinger'. I would say that the final pass pretty much guaranteed his comeback for another year. Although I am sure we will be put through the months of media blitz causing us to hate him even more. I could not decide when watching the game last night who wanted to win less. Both teams seemed to be doing all they could to lose the game. Not the spectacular offensive explosions I was expecting. Makes me now think that the Colts have to be favorites to win the Bowl, as much as it pains me to say that Frank. Congratulations on your successful sports weekend.
You cant blame Favre it was his turn in the rotation. Every other player had screwed up and cost the team the game, he was feeling left out and thought it would be nice to join them. Jones you said Frank had a nice weekend in sports, I know Duke won but i didnt know the 49ers played. J/K Im pretty sure Favre will be back, maybe the Vikings will draft Tebow so we can all get our Favre/Tebow love fest from the media all in one story.
Ok i will admit i am a Favre fan, but get just as pissed having to hear about him every two minutes. I am sitting here watching some sports shows and am still waiting to hear anyone other than Favre to be blamed. I dont think he was the one who fumbled away (Harvin,Peterson,Berrian) 3 very good scoring chances. The offensive line that let him get his ass beat all game Or how the defense let the Saints get in Field Goal range without much effort. Yes Favre holds as much blame as anyone else but to say he lost the game himself means you either no nothing about football or you are just that bias against him(TT).
Not saying he lost the game by himself. Yeah the fumbles hurt, but I am sick and tired of hearing how great he is when all he is is a selfish egomaniac. I mean here we are in another offseason where he is saying he won't back but then when camp opens next year he will get the itch again and then the circus will begin. The Packers made the right choice with cutting ties with the old fart when they did because Rodgers is going to be pretty damn good. Favre should do us all a favor and retire, because I really believe that fans have turned bitter against him (like me) because of all the back and forth he has gone through and the position he put the Packers in. When Montana left the 49ers for the Chiefs, it was no where near the circus that Favre has created. He got his win and beat the Packers and proved that in the big moment of the big game he still makes piss poor decisions because that's what he does, takes risks when it's not needed. After the game in his presser, he was asked about the pick and he said himself he didn't know how many yards they needed to get into field goal range. What? How in the world can a QB that has been around as long as he has not know how many yards you need in that situation. All I got to say to that is C'mon buddy.
Sorry Frank that was mainly a shot at the media not you. I really think their is no process or football knowledge needed to be hired as an announcer or on espn.
No sorry needed, I just needed to vent on the Favre subject because thats all I heard about yesterday, so much more so than the great performance by Manning just absolutely tearing apart the vaunted Jets defense.
Back to the Dolphins, last I heard Jones they still do have a team but the last anybody cared about them was when snowfalke was kidnapped right before Super Bowl
Before I lend a comment on Favre let me say....."F" you DA BOOTH and all you other Dolphin "haters"! At least we were concerned with getting Snowflake back and not entering him into a dog fighting competition held by one of the Eagles' backup QBs!! Speaking of fight competitions.......I'd like to see Andy Reid vs one of Mike Vick's dogs for a steak. My money would be on Reid!
Yes, Jonesy, the Dolphins are a real team. I haven't got a feel for who you like, but i'm willing to bet it's probably one of the 2 remaining teams!
"Frank" yes, should we all get on our knees and pray to the alter of Peyton "I exaggerate every audible call at the line of scrimmage" Manning? I know you bought his used jock of EBAY to carry around, but we all don't cream at the sight of a Colt playing in Indiana of all places. Since the Mayflower vans arrived in the middle of the night, I have hated every thing about the Indiana Colts. The records of Johnny Unitas, Lenny Moore and others belong in Baltimore!!! The uniform and horseshoe belong in Baltimore. But, I'll give you some slack because I realize you were not even a dream of you parents the last time the Colts played at Memorial Stadium. Do you even know who Bert Jones was? Don McCafferty? Raymond Berry, Don McCauley? Raymond Chester? Toni Linhart? Lyle Blackwood? Gino Marchetti? Alan Ameche? Earl Morrill?
Brett Favre is a "tool" who only cares about himself! He only came back to win for himself, not because he cared so much about the Vikings organization! He used the Pack at the end. He used the Jets for a season's paycheck. And now he used the Vikes for his own needs. I can't stand him. I can't stand the media for drooling all over him! When's the media gonna learn to not make these guys bigger than they are? Go ask the Golf Channel which had to change it's programming from Tiger all the time to actual golf and other players!!!!!!!
Ok FRITZ, i am missing the part of where i said shit about the Dolphins so kiss my ass. As for Reid fighting a dog for a steak i too think he would win. As for Vick, i will leave all bashing alone, he made one play all year and everyone thinks he is back, he wasnt great before jail and he still isnt. I also heard he gets great drugs from Ricky and the other smoked up dolphins(their it was).
Boo hoo. The Mayflower trucks left Baltimore in the middle of the night. The colts belong in Baltimore. The horseshoe belongs in Baltimore. The record belong in Baltimore. Blah blah blah. If you care so much about Baltimore, then how come your not a Ravens fan?
Wow, this conversation is turning very emotional...I would have to be in agreement with Fritz about the Colts leaving Baltimore. Not sure of all the specifics, but it did seem like a classy move all those years ago. I know my dad stopped watching the NFL after that and hasn't rooted for a team since. And he is as die hard an Orioles fan as there is...I mean, c'mon, he still watches them in September...That's painful...DaBooth: I wonder how Cap-One would feel to know about the posting times of your comments. Would he seek the sweater-vest on you, or deal with you himself?
Yes Fritz i work, i mean it isnt as tough as pretending im typing stuff into the computer and making up random numbers, and not calling people back. But i do work.
