Boring!

Is it just me or has the NFL playoff this weekend been boring to you as well?   Talk about anti-climatic!!

The #1 seed the Saints roll over the Cardinals. Not much to mention in way of highlights.

The AFC 5 seed Ravens lost 20-3 to the Colts in a yawner.  Somebody tell the Ravens that offense is a critical part of football.

The most anticipated game of the week, Cowboys at Vikes turned out to be a great chance to get some cleaning done around the house.

Now I'm in the middle of the Chargers v Jets. San Diego's up 7-0 and the NFL once again has just changed the rules on the fly. Chargers wide out caught a pass, gets hit by Jim Leonhard, fumbles and is recoverd by the Jets.  Of course, call was reversed and the play was ruled a no catch. Of course the receiver only caught the ball, took a step with each foot before being hit, then lost control of the ball.  I ve seen the same thing ruled a catch over and over again.     Now penalty called on Jets on a punt return.  Seems like the NFL has sent down a mandate for the Chargers to move on.  Jets will have to beat the refs too in order to move on.

Now Phil Simms says the NFL explained the receiver didn't touch the ground "LONG ENOUGH" with his feet in order to be a catch!!!!  What the F????   I've seen guys reach the ball over the goal line and have it immediately knocked out of their hands by a D player,   only to have the refs call it a touchdown.   Guess there's no time limit on that.          Course, too, a catch on the sidelines only requires at least a drag of toes on each foot.   Maybe now they'll also have to have their toes on the ground for a required period of time in order to have a catch??????     Maybe too it'll depend on how the NFL feels that day

YAWN............I'd rather watch TBS' rerun of "The Legend of Bagger Vance"

  1. These games do kinda suck. Although the Ravens Colts game was fun to watch, you had to see what the Ravens were gonna do next to keep themselves from being in the game. Fumbles Penalties anything you could think of the Ravens tried it.

The Cardinals games was another great example of how bad tackling is in the NFL. Warner looked like he couldnt wait to retire.

I didnt find to much wrong with the Cowboys Vikings game. Fox found the two people that could announce that game without completely blowing bret favre the whole time. Joe Buck was busy blowing Troy and Troy was busy letting Joe Buck blow him so that didnt leave much time for bret. But wacthing the Cowboys get whipped was great. I guess Jerry has to give the trophy back everyone gauranteed they would win. And brookings can quit bitching about them running up the score, STOP THEM AND THEY CANT RUN IT UP!

It looks like the Chargers want the Jets to upset them.

Fritz, never listen to Phil Simms it never makes sense. I always believed officials should have to talk to the media like players do and answer for the shit they call. They should also be fined, or docked for blatant bad calls. Ive seen about 15 already in these playoffs.
