Money + Fame + Women = Your F***ED!!!!

Fellas!!! The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence. I would like to call your attention to 2 individuals who I have self-appointed Idiots of the Week!! The two lucky winners are Steve Phillips (past Mets GM and recently fired ESPN baseball analyst) and Antoine Walker (former Kentucky Wildcat star and 12 year NBA veteran). I would like to give you a brief insight into the life of these two lucky men and how their money/fame/women ended up biting them in the ass!

As I'm sure you all know that Steve Phillips was recently fired by ESPN for having an affair with a co-worker. I won't even get into the fact that his mistress (Brooke Hundley) is about a 20 on "the beers I have to drink to bang her scale". What is this dope thinking?? Now, I don't condone infidelity but if you have the itch you better scratch it with Molly Sims!!! This isn't Steve's first time shooting his pistol off at the wrong target. In 1998, as the Mets GM, he had an affair with a another co-worker. She sued for sexual harassment and of course it was settled out of court. But in this case I think he was ultimately fired because he sucked as a GM. Maybe if he concentrated more on the team, and not his own banging average, then maybe the Mets would of done better?? Who knows, who cares, I don't!! The worst part in this is that Hundley went psycho, as all jilted women do, on Steve's wife and even went to their home to confront her. I'm sure Steve's six figure salary, fame, and ego led him to believe he was untouchable and that he had the sexuation under control. Now he has lost his job, family, reputation, all for a piece on the side.

Next on the list is Antoine Walker. I used to get pissed when I heard pro athletes complain about not making enough money but after hearing Antoine's story I now know why. Antoine Walker made an estimated 120 million dollars during his 12 year NBA career. Minus taxes, agent fees, and other legal expenses he took home roughly 70 million over the 12 years. Well guess what??? Antoine is broke!!! In fact, it is said he owes creditors up to 4 million dollars. How does someone lose 70+ million dollars over 12 years?? Well, apparently Antoine liked the big houses, luxury cars, the bling, and the partying. It was also reported that during his career he was supporting approx. 70+ family members and friends. Now, before you get down on Antoine there is a flip side to this. Antoine wasn't all about himself while blowing his 70 mill. Antoine often paid for his teammates' lavish dinners and took may of them to Las Vegas to gamble and party. He also spent a good chunk of change on needy and deprived children and built his mother a mansion. Regardless, how in the hell can you blow 70 million?? Good luck Antoine and hopefully your agent can get you a new gig so you can blow that loot.
